So...

...I realize that I have been away for quite some time, and that a video of snake, master chief, and sean connery being chippendales dancers doesn't quite make up for that. It's just that I have gone through quite a bit of transitions, particularly living areas, since my post on shamans.
Now I'm sure you all must have heard by now that the new World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm, is approaching and is currently in beta testing stage. I do plan on returning to WoW once Cataclysm hits stores, and will continue to provide guides on specs and stuffs for you.
Besides WoW, I have been doing alot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Dungeons and Dragons. So, if you have any questions concerning those topics, or similar topics (as I have played SO many games in my life, since I was 3 actually) feel free to ask.

The Spirits are saying that I need to make a Shaman post.

Ok, the spirits aren't telling me to, but Hazmat is, so I will concede him this wish. Ah. the mighty Shaman, powerful spiritual warrior and master of the 4 elements. Truly a valued dungeon/raid companion if there was one. The Shaman's utilization of various combinations of totems, and the ability to use Heroism/Bloodlust (Respectively) is an irreplacable asset.
Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not going to say that's all Shamans are good for, of course not. The Shaman has some decent capabilities in the area of dps, and makes an excellent healer for raid members (not to imply they can't MT heal) for melee especially.

Restoration:
Restoration Shamans are sort of self explanatory as far as their ability usage goes, so I don't really need to get into that right now. What I will give you is the talents for said spec.

Elemental:
Lightning Bolt! Lightning Bolt! Lightning Bolt!
Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Anywho, the Elemental tree is the Shaman's caster dps specialization. It offers a fairly good fire totem to use as well, the Totem of Wrath, which increases the critical strike chance against all targets nearby by 3%, and provides 280 spell power to all raid members.
Rotation for said spec is as follows, Cast Flame Shock and make sure it never falls, Lava Burst whenever it is off cooldown, Chain Lightning, and Lightning Bolts when everything else is on cooldown. Use Elemental Mastery in conjunction with Heroism/Bloodlust for best effects, and use Thunderstorm as a nice mana pot as you normally won't be close enough to the boss to dmg it with the spell. If you are however, blast 'em whenever you can with it.

Enhancement:
A great fusion of Melee and Spell, the Enhancement Shaman. Now obviously you wanna use 2 slow one handed weapons for this, period. Your weapons should have Windfury on the Main-hand, and Flametongue on the Off-hand. Because of the Static Shock talent (chance on hit to set off one of your Lightning Shield orbs against your opponent) you will use Lightning Shield. For rotations, you should use Stormstrike, Flame Shock, Earth Shock, and Lava Lash. When your Maelstrom Weapon effect reaches 5 stacks, unleash a Lightning Bolt. Shamanistic Rage and Feral Spirit whenever you can.

Well, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed reading about how to Shaman. Any questions and/or requests feel free to ask.

Rotations, Rotations, Rotations!

Ah yes, where would be today without our rotations? Likely smacking fervently(and might I add quite fruitlessly) at our foes like wildmen of the raging north. It is our rotations that seperate us from them, but if you happen to enjoy doing that, then by all means do so. It is after all your game I suppose.
This post shall be the Warlock one I guess, as I don't particularly feel like typing too much at once, and there is so much to say among all 10 classes. So here goes.

Affliction:
I happen to be currently running Affliction PvE on my Warlock, and have been presently pleased with the results. Since our buff to dmg we received in the coming of patch 3.3, the Affliction lock can now stand up there with other, previously superior, specs.

First off, the pet. Use the Fel Puppy (Felhound). It will be obvious why, when you look at it's abilities. The ability known as Shadow Bite causes shadow dmg (great for bypassing boss armor), has a 2 second cooldown (with the talent for imp. felhound), and gains a dmg increase for each DoT you have active on the target. Nuff said.
Glyphs that should be used are the Glyph of Haunt (increases haunt's bonus dmg by 3%), Glyph of Life Tap (gives a 40 sec. buff increasing spell power by 20% of your total spirit, works with Dark Pact as well.), and Glyph of Quick Decay(causes your haste to make Corruption ticks go faster).
Now down to the nitty-gritty, first off cast Haunt, then Unstable Affliction, Corruption, and Curse of Agony (if you dont have to put Elements up). Once those are up cast Haunt whenever its up, refresh Unstable Affliction and CoA when needed, casting Shadow Bolts when nothing else is going on. Once the target hits 25% health instead of Shadow Bolts, use Drain Soul, the new Warlock "Execution/Killshot".

Destruction:
For pets, use the Imp, given that Empowered Imp helps out so much...ya obvious choice.
Glyphs should be Glyph of Conflagrate (Causes your Conflagrate spell to no longer consume the Immolate DoT), Glyph of Incinerate (increases Incinerate's dmg by 5%), and Glyph of Life Tap (for the aforementioned effect).
The rotation is, Curse of Doom every time it goes off, Immolate, Conflagrate, Chaos Bolt, and Incinerate as a filler when nothing else is going on. Obviously refresh immolate and corruption as needed, and you should be golden.

I hope this guide has helped you steer away from the barbaric instincts that lurk in your soul, for you Warlocks at least, in your pursuit of ever higher DPS.
